Motion study of a small animal is very useful in pre-clinical development of new drugs. The influence of new molecules can indeed be characterized by disorders or recovery of motor functions. For this, the EyeCAM system allows a kinematic and spatio-temporal analysis for the rodent. The measurable parameters are the walking cadence, the length and duration of steps, the durations and relative proportions of stance and swing, the displacement and angular velocity during the walk cycle.
